The new school year in southern Africa begins in January. For grade 10's it starts somewhere in late January or February. For those who can't afford the school fees it starts when the family has money.
This little one cannot hear or speak. Therefore, her "foster" parents have found her a place at St. Mulumba school in Choma - a place of special learning.
The staff there are kind and there are good, practical classes for the children.
Her foster mom is Cleny, one of our Kasensa aunties. Cleny has one daughter, Sandra - who is now a mother of 2 small children herself. All the other 4 or 5 children Cleny cares for are "dependents" and a few of them have been sponsored by ZMF-C.
Richard, Wilson and Ruhtt have formed a sponsored student committee to aid in selecting, de-selecting (I think I've made that word up!) and a few other duties. This will help Ruhtt in ensuring the most needy are selected and also will join the team together even better as they work closer together.
