Chibbo - (neighbour teen gal) with Mapenzi - will be one year on September 7
Rose - with Faith - born on Christmas day 2012.
Shelley with baby Fanwell - 8 weeks old
In front - Rozina - 2 years old since April and Abigail - 2 years old as of December 2012
Yes, the number of orphans is down from awhile ago - but maybe that is all good. Maybe it is an indicator that moms' survival rates are increasing, maybe families are understanding better how important it is to work hard at caring for their children, maybe the system management systems are improving. Its quite hard at this time to guess what factors are leading to less orphans coming to Kasensa - but we'll continue to keep our ears and eyes open and be open to what God is telling us in regards to our role with caring for the vulnerable here in this place.
